| |  | Research by Vason Group presented at the 31st OIV World Congress | From 15 to 20 June 2008 Verona Fair's Congress Centre hosted the 31st World Congress of Vineyard and Wine and the 6th OIV General Assembly. The last OIV Congress in Italy dates back to 1987 and took place in Rome: after 21 years, our Country has a new opportunity to host the most important international meeting of the sector. OIV - International Organization of Vineyard and Wine located in Paris - is indeed the internationally most relevant intergovernmental scientific and technical Institution of wine sector. Oral presentations were 114, of which 44 were about viticulture, 38 about Oenology, 32 about Economy. Posters were 233. Enologica Vason, in collaboration with prof. Ferrarini of Verona University, presented 1 oral presentation and three posters inside the Oenological section. Tackled issues were: - Membranes: MEMBRANE TECHNIQUES GUARANTEEING PRODUCT'S QUALITY AND TERRITORIAL IDENTITY - Conditioning of redox potential: CONDITIONING OF REDOX POTENTIAL (OXIDATION-REDUCTION) OF WHITE WINES THROUGH THE EMPLOYMENT OF MICRO-CURRENTS, FIRST INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCES. - Yeasts rehydration: THE REHYDRATION PROCESS AS A FIRST INSTRUMENT TO EXPLOIT YEASTS. - Gas exchanges inside the barriques: INNOVATIVE METHODS TO EVALUATE THE OXYGEN PERMEATION OF WOOD CONTAINERS: GASEOUS MEMBRANE HYPOTHESIS.
This participation by Vason Group follows the experimentations presented in 2006 in Logrono (Spain), always inside OIV organization. |
