| |  | Alcohol Reduction | Juclas got the plant ready for the partial reduction of wine percent alcohol through a sophisticated membrane technique. Enologica Vason and Juclas (Vason Group’s plant engineering company) are committed, since November 2007, to a research project financed by Veneto Region (Regional Law of 4 April 2003 n. 8 “Regulation on the productive districts in Veneto and industrial local policy measures”), to develop the scientific knowledge about the partial wine alcohol reduction through membrane techniques. Coordination on behalf of Vason Group is done by professor Roberto Ferrarini, who is lecturer at the University of Verona and OIV’s expert member, who in cooperation with Mr. Alberto Stassi (Juclas S.r.l.), got the technique ready, identifying the optimal treatment conditions. This project has led to the definition of two applicative patents and an industrial membrane plant, properly designed to perform a targeted correction of percent alcohol, while respecting the organoleptic quality of wine.
The plant is already available in the Countries where alcohol reduction practice is allowed. |
