SOLFITAN® 63%

SULFURING AGENT IN CONCENTRATED SOLUTION, ABLE TO DEVELOP SULFUR DIOXIDE WITHOUT ENRICHING THE MEDIUM WITH POTASSIUM.
SOLFITAN® 63% is an aqueous solution of ammonium bisulfite at 70%. It does not contain cation salts that are detrimental to the tartaric stability of wine.
It is able to provide the yeast with small amounts of free nitrogen. Therefore, together with an activating effect, a regulation of the fermentation process takes place. These characteristics make SOLFITAN® 63% the ideal sulfuring agent for fermentation, contributing to preventing the risks of stopped fermentation.
It is the only solution for the dosage of sulfur dioxide in liquid form that is easy to manipulate.
Apply the product as is, spreading it homogeneously throughout the volume to be treated – for which the on-line dosing systems DOSACOM ® are particularly recommended.
A dose of 10 g/hL of SOLFITAN® 63% produces 63 mg/L sulfur dioxide.
