SMARTSTAB® 2.0

SMARTSTAB® 2.0 is a polymer that acts as a protective colloid, providing an effective stabilising action with a preventive effect against tartaric precipitation.

The uniqueness of SMARTSTAB® 2.0 lies in the fact that it can be added to the wine mass immediately before bottling without affecting the filterability indices; in fact, the Research & Development sector of Enologica Vason has developed an exclusive production technique that respects its integrity and enables its filterability even on microporous membranes. This innovative system does not involve a hydrolysis reaction, but is based on a specific solubilisation method, followed by a 'SMART' filtration process.

The filterability of SMARTSTAB® 2.0 is guaranteed as each batch is verified by the QC Laboratory of Enologica Vason through evaluation of the Filterability Index and Vmax, using the Juclas QFT system. Its particular purity allows it to be used even on wines being prepared for bottling.
In this regard, it was verified that SMARTSTAB® 2.0, once dosed, is present and active even downstream of an inert microfiltration (tested with final PVDF membranes at 0.45 μm).
In liquid form, slightly opalescent and free of impurities, SMARTSTAB® 2.0 is perfectly soluble in wine.
